The European Institute for Participatory Democracy – Qvorum has the pleasure of inviting you to the conference regarding the results of the “Effective mechanisms of cooperation with public authorities” project, SMIS 40105, Friday, December 13, 2013, starting with 10 AM, Hotel Capital Plaza, Iancu de Hunedoara Boulevard, no. 54, Bucharest.
The conference dedicated to the completion of the “Effective mechanisms of cooperation with public authorities” project represents an opportunity to discuss with and for the civil society about the importance of cooperation between central and local authorities, the private sector and the civil society.
Among the most significant results of the project, we may present:
- Citizens’ agenda implemented on the makers’ agenda – two collaborative iniatitives of citizens with the local public authorities regarding the community’s necessities;
- “Laboratories of Ideas for your city!” – debates between the local authorities and active citizens in the community on various topics of interes for the civil society. Examples: “Advantages and disadvantages for Sibiu – a regional capital”, “Fresh air for Bucharest”);
- Over 200 informed citizens over the way public administration institutions function locally and centrally, as well as how they may get involved in the decision making process;
Qvorum Institute’s team wants to cultivate and promote an open and professional dialogue between public authorities, the private environment and representatives of the civil society in order to identify the common needs and wants regarding cooperation, that we may promote in the future.
