EU hears you! is an outdoor event, created by Europe Direct Information Centre CENTRAS, Students’Union of Romania (USR) and the European Institute for Participative Democracy – Qvorum.

European Parliament postponed yesterday the vote on a joint proposal for a resolution on the new media law in Hungary. The decision came after the debate of 16 February, when EU Commissioner on Digital Agenda, Neelie Kroes, informed the MEPs in Strasbourg that Prime Minister, Viktor Orban, promised to change the controversial four articles of the document.

In the motion initiated by Daciana Sarbu (PSD, Group of European Socialists), center-right political forces have tried to insert a paragraph which stipulated the fact that genetically modified organisms could enter on the EU market.
When, in late November, he went to the Socialist Group in the European Parliament, Ciprian Claudiu Tanasescu (ex-PRM) has changed the national party too, becoming a member of PSD. This political migration makes PSD the Romanian party with the biggest number of MEPs, 12, one more than PDL.
