In the context of having a really low level of political and civic culture in Romania, especially among youngsters, the European Institute for Participative Democracy – Qvorum in partnership with Hanns Seidel Foundation from Romania, want to start the project Information means power! Be powerful! (Education for democracy for high school students) in county Bacău on March and in county Dolj on April.
The purpose of the project is to increase the level of political culture among high school students (the ones who are about to vote for the first time) and also to strengthen the relations between public institutions and citizens on a local, national and even European level.
During March and April, the project will take place in 4 high schools from county Bacău and 4 high schools from county Dolj. From each high school, groups of 25 students will be selected. The procedure of selection consist of a motivation letter sent by the students in order to participate on these training programs, to the e-mail address [email protected]
The training program is structured in four distinctive modules where topics such as the relationship with public administration institutes from local, but also central level from Romania will be approached.
