Participants at the “Informations means power! Be strong!” and Efficient mechanisms of collaborating with the public authorities projects, implemented by the Qvorum Institute, have joined the Qvorum community.
After participating at the training sessions on themes related to a citizen’s relationship with the public institutions, youngsters ahd the possibility of getting involved in the process of formulating public policies, through the local initiative groups. These were made by young participants with the help of the Qvorum Institute.
The local initiative from Craiova, Bacău and Sibiu managed to do some research and constant procedures in order to identify and present several flaws and problems from their community to the decision-makers.
- Position document regarding the reconfiguration of public transport routes provided by S.C. Turib SA, from Sibiu county;
- Position documents regarding the rehabilitation of fountains – considered to be historical monuments in Craiova;
- Position document regarding the founding of the recruitment and placement of the laborers work force centre.
The propositions made by the local initiative groups were taken into consideration by the authorities. In Craiova, the local initiative group determined a budget allocation of 650.000 RON for the rehabilitation of fountains.
The Qvorum community reunites over 3000 youngsters from all over the country, young people that believe in the potential of everyone around them, willing to get involved and to develop projects for the community.
