Commenting on the outcome of this vote, Doru Franțescu, director of the European Institute for Participatory Democracy Qvorum, explained that ”The first resolution was proposed by the center-right EPP forces + ECR (European People’s Party and the European Conservatives and Reformists Group), resolution that presented France’s present actions as justified, and believed that this issue is not for the European institutions since it is related to the internal security of the French state rather than the freedom of movement within the EU.
