How Romanian MEPs voted on the resolution on cyanide.

The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling on the Executive Committee to prohibit mining technologies using cyanide. In addition, the Parliament calls on the Commission to take the initiative for a total ban on the use of technologies based on cyanide mining in the EU by the end of 2011, considering that this is the only sure way to protect water resources and ecosystems against cyanide pollution mining activities and to perform co-current impact assessment.
