The European Institute for Participative Democracy Qvorum launches a new training programme which offers information about: the institutional structure of the local and national public administration, interinstitutional relationships, legislative processes and public policy drafting, the functioning of reprezentative and participative democracy, the role of civil society and ways of influencing the public policies.
The training is addressed to:
– students and graduates in political science, administrative science, sociology, journalism;
– civil servants with competence in developing, monitoring and evaluation of public policies;
– people involved in civil society or the media
– citizens who wish to be actively involved and get behind the scenes into the political world;
The training programme: The training will be held between the 16th and 19th of November, 2010, in the afternoon/evening. For the participants who are not from Bucharest and want to attend this training, Qvorum Institute organizes, at demand, an additional session between the 20th and 21st of November, 2010.
Location: IEDP Qvorum headquarters, no. 9, Romana Square, district 1, Bucharest.
The training method is result-oriented, based on:
-interactivity
– emphasis of the practical aspects and less of the theoretical ones
– concrete examples and first-hand information
At the end of the training, the participants will receive a diploma which certifies their participation in the programme.
The training will be led by Razvan Burleanu, PhD in Political Science, National Defense College graduate, holding a vast experience in local and national administration and their functioning in mass-media and also in the legislative field. He is also trainer on political leadership for the Atlantic Association of Young Political Leaders, European Christian Political Youth Network and other political and non governmental international organizations.
Training fee: RON 400 (students and NGO employees will benefit from 25% discount).
