The presence of the Romanian delegation at the plenary sessions is very low, even though there is a slight increase over the previous period. Overall, the Romanian MEPs were placed in position 24, with an average of 87.71%, despite the first year in office when they were in the 26th place with 85.54%.
There are times and situations: some MEPs recorded consistently low turnout – Corneliu Vadim Tudor, George Becali and Ciprian Tănăsescu, while others (Traian Ungureanu, Adina Vălean, Cristian Bușoi, Norica Nicolai and Renate Weber) have improved performance ”after some time of coverage in the media business”, says Doru Franțescu, the director of Qvorum.
