Citizenship responsability – How can you interact with decision-makers? What is the role of public authorities?

The European Institute for Participative Democracy – Qvorum, as a beneficiary of the project “Efficient mechanisms of collaboration with public authorities”, code SMIS 40104, announces that in june 2013, in Bucharest, a free training program will be organized, its aim being to offer information regarding the operating mode of the central and local public administration institutes and also methods of involvement of civil society in the process of decision-making and development of public policy.

The training program is structured in 4 modules and will take place in Bucharest on june, therefore:

Module 1:

Democratic values in practice

Operating mechanisms of the local public administration institutions

Module 2:

Operating mechanisms of the central public administration institutions

Methods of involvement in the process of local and central level decision-making

Module 3:

The period of practice (homework) in which participants (grouped in teams) will elaborate an advocacy strategic model based on the accumulated information.

Module 4:

Citizenship responsibility and good practices examples from Italy – trainer from Italy

Functioning of the public administration from Italy – trainer from Italy

Evaluation, feedback

The method of training is result oriented and it’s based on:

– Interactivity

– Emphasize on practical applications

– Precise exemplification and topical information

– Professional trainers (practitioners) who activate in the training field area

After the finalization of the training sessions, we will organize a round table named “Ideas Lab for your city” in which the participants will interact with officials and contractual staff from the public administration having as a purpose to strengthen the dialogue between the non-governmental environment and the public administration.

The round table will be organized at the beginning of july.

At the end of the training, the beneficiaries will receive a diploma for participation that testifies the attendance of this training program.

Also based on the obtained results and the active involvement throughout the training program, the participants can participate on one out of two study visits at Brusells or Rome.

The procedure of registering and selection

Those who are interested to participate on this training program will send on the e-mail address bucuresti@qvorum.ro, the following documents:
– Curriculum Vitae
– A motivation letter to show the candidate’s interest for this training program

Please, mention in the e-mail subject the name of the project you attend. Only the selected persons will be notified for additional information.
Also, in the e-mail text, the candidates are asked to send their contact data, specifically the phone number and the personal e-mail address in order to have an efficient communication regarding the ongoing details of the training program.

The deadline for sending the applications is 06.06.2013.
